Republishing RSS Feeds
Sorry if this post is a little geeky. You see, I’ve been pulling all the New York Subway alerts into Twitter to make a nice Subway advisory page. It’s working great, but the page has a Twitter URL and not a nice one like mtaalerts.com or something. That fucking sucks.
OK, so I was going to pull the Twitter RSS feed into Tumblr and style it really nicely with my own custom domain...
My laptop generally sits on my desk, next to a 21” monitor I have which I can plug into it. But sometimes, you really just need to plop it on your lap, when you are sitting on the couch getting heavily involved in some 30 Rock. But my battery life is under an hour these days, so a power cord is a must.
BUT, I have a lot of wires on my desk, so it’s a huge pain to unplug the durn...
I ate way too much last night. I’m feeling a bit sick, but also feel like I want a thanksgiving sandwich for lunch right now.
The internet connection at my parents home is frustratingly slow, like slower-than-EDGE-slow. I think my mom is streaming a TV show.
Today, the batteries ran out on the book I was reading.
I feel a little bad about this
While chatting with a co-worker today about a problem we were having with the latest update to the Google Maps app on the iPhone, I said the phrase “Yes, <thing that we’re discussing is very annoying>, but it’s a real first world problem.” And on my way home, I was contemplating that phrase, and realized that I say it a lot.
